I've so enjoyed following your adventures in China. You write so well, it feels like I'm a part of your travels.
Interesting that your son became stressed when entering the Forbidden City.
My son is (high functioning) Autistic and will balk at entering strange places. Something to do with the sensory. Like the first time I took him to CubFoods/Winco (large warehouse grocery store) he cried and said the building was scary. "Giant building" was his words. I let him walk over and touch the brick outer walls. Once he touched them, he was OK.
So glad for the improved interface! Woohoo!
