Wondering what to do for family movie night... We went to a movie and music store we heard about and went on a shopping spree. Most DVDs are 6 yuan (less than a dollar).
We spent about $23, including a case that holds 52 DVDs. Next trip I'm buying all the Mozart operas I can find.

Wonderful choices in movies! :)
Arienne,
Do you think you can easily find mint oil? Liquid, not gel caps. Preferrably spearmint, but peppermint might do. When I check the essential oil websites, the best I can find is $30 for 16 oz, plus shipping, plus they tack on a small order fee for orders less than $100. If you can find that type of thing there, can you tell me the price? Then maybe it could be sent it back with Pat? Wish I could fit in her suitcase. Our love to all of you.
Arienne,
Clarification. That price is for spearmint. Peppermint is half that.
Sarah,
FNWL has spearmint oil (from China) listed here for half the price that you mentioned. I am about to place an order with them and I was going to offer to share the shipping cost with you but then I noticed that the spearmint oil is out of stock. If you click on the "OOS" link, you can give them your email address and they will notify you when it is back in stock.
Arienne,
The movies look great. Can you view DVDs from the US, or does that region-encoding thing keep you from doing so?
Greg McCann
Hi Greg,
Yes, we can easily see US DVDs--we did bring a handful but you can only see a movie so many times... :) I cannot tell you how grateful I am to you for helping me access the blog. Many thanks again!
Hi Sarah,
It sounds like Greg has the best lead on oil. I'll ask around, though.
To all,
The movies have worked out great and I just have to put in a plug for Stranger Than Fiction. It's a terrific story.
Yay!!!
I loved The Queen.
